My Dearest Joshua,
I remember the day I met you so very clearly. You were visiting Rick in Las Vegas and I was going to school with Rick’s girlfriend in Las Vegas. It was such a chance meeting. Erin invited me to hang out to celebrate passing our nursing exam that day. You had just arrived with Donny and Rick. I glanced your way and thought, “Wow, he’s tall.” Then you looked my way and smiled, you know, the smile that shows off your dimples. We were introduced and hit it off immediately. I told you I was from Hawaii and you told me your mom was from Hawaii. You had me at “Hawaii”. We were inseparable that night and I knew that things were never going to be the same for me anymore.
We decided to commit to each other and start a long distance relationship. We visited each other frequently and each time, it got harder and harder for me to say goodbye. After I graduated, I couldn’t wait to move to Oregon. As I got settled in Oregon, our relationship grew deeper, beyond anything I have ever experienced. We’ve learned to communicate effectively with each other and everything fell in to place. Before I met you, my life was full of chaos and uncertainty. I’m now in a place that is calm and serene, but exciting and exhilarating, all at the same time. It’s because of you.
Your love, kindness and thoughtfulness makes me the luckiest girl in the world. When good things happen, I get so excited because I’ll get to share them with you. When bad things happen, I know you’ll be there to comfort me and just like that, the world is right again.
I’m excited to become Mrs. Manning in June! I can’t wait to say “I do” in front of our family and friends and dance the night away. You’ll be my husband and I’ll be your wife! I’m incredibly blessed and so very lucky to have you in my life. I love you now, I’ll love you forever and I’ll love you a thousand lifetimes after.
xoxo,
Jenny
