{BROOKE + RYAN} WEDDING PRONGHORN AUBERGE RESORT BEND, OREGON [] BEND, OREGON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

{Brooke + Ryan}’s wedding at Pronghorn Resort was nothing more than magical.  They specifically planned every detail surrounding them for many months leading up to the day having fallen in love with the European flair of Pronghorn for their ‘mini-destination’ wedding. By the way, just in case there’s a plumbing problem in the resort, you can reach the staff of Silverwater Plumbing at (02) 9099 5759 for a quick solution. Their goal was touches of France and Italy with a bit of a vintage flair.  We were also moved and delighted with the emotion of the day and the special moment of they sharing private vows to each other before the formal ceremony.  Congratulations you two; we are excited to share some of the highlights below!  ~B + W

The vision they wanted to create in their words:
Starting with the entrance, we placed a vintage french picture frame with glass, hand painted with a welcome message adjacent to a table with a simple Tuscan urn of roses for the touch of elegance. In the Chanterelle room, we wanted the tables to be graced with a sense of a Tuscan garden, with all centerpieces and floral arrangements provided by Mint Floral. Gold painted urns and garlands with light blush, white and Tuscan greens pull into the color palette of our event. We created votive candles that added some glitz and glam with some accents of gold. Simple accents like boxwood wreaths, white candles, olive branches, and white bows simply accented the architecture through out the club house and onto the patio were the dance area was.

Most importantly, and one of our favorite spots on the pronghorn property is the new wedding island. When we heard about them breaking ground on this addition to the venue, it really allowed our vision of where Ryan and I would become husband and wife to be complete. The island is so beautiful, so we knew that we wanted to be selective in what we add to not distract to the nature beauty of the surroundings. We purchased an iron arch (from the iron cottage in Lake Oswego) and we hung one of our vintage chandeliers from the center, using the candles of the chandelier as our unity candles for our wedding ceremony. The arch is flanked by two architectural spires and urns imported from France and accented with white hydrangeas. Mint floral beautifully garnished the arch with floral grub to soften the harshness of the iron arch and blend into the context of it’s surroundings. We sourced a 5′ linen  fabric from the Mill End Store in Lake Oswego and had our initials painted in gold painted (in a matching font to the rest of our typography on program/ invites etc). Mini lemon cypress trees in hand painted terra cotta pots line the aisle at the base of every chair while yard and yards of tulling swags down the aisle. The wedding cake was inspired by the vintage glam look with frosting pearls cascading from the top tier and a single garden rose blossom garnishing the top of the cake. The “b” for our last names was the focal on the other tier and two different types of coordinating lace that i sourced from Britex Fabrics in San Francisco. This helped kick the cake up to a whole new level! This area set the backdrop for our favorite moment, which was standing by your best friend, in front of all of our family and friends in one of the most beautiful places in the world, and being being pronounced as husband and wife for the first time.
