PUG (Pictage User Group) Mini West Coast Speaking Tour

-

By: Wendy

For the first time, a real merging of past and present have come together for me.  It’s been really exciting over the last few months to stand up and start speaking to other wedding and portrait photographers about their web marketing.  It started first with the 20th Kubota Bootcamp, then WPPI Photographer’s Ignite, and now a west coast mini-tour of PUG groups (Pictage User Group). Educating others on the value of web marketing is a true passion of mine over the last 10 years and merging that with our photography has been a journey that hopefully others can learn and prosper from.  Web marketing is essential and the big questions we review in the presentations are:

  • Where do I start?
  • What’s the most important thing to do with the budget I have?
  • How in the heck do I get on the first page of Google for my keyword phrases?
  • How do I start a Facebook fan page?
  • What are the top 10 mistakes photographers make in their web marketing?
  • How do I review Google Analytics?

We started with San Jose and San Francisco PUGs and now we’re off to Portland, Oregon and then June 29th and 30th , Seattle and Tacoma.  These PUG leaders volunteer their time for this position and each and every group so far has been exciting, invigorating and lively.  Thank you for this opportunity Pictage and for your support!

Moreover, we’ve had awesome sponsors that have stood up and gotten behind us.  We couldn’t do it without you, so thank you: Revolution Imaging and Design, Kubota Image Tools, SnapKnot, Zach Prez and the Photography Web Marketing Guide.

Rock on…I look forward to releasing upcoming speaking dates via our official Facebook page – so be sure to stay connected.  Also, I’ll be featured in several upcoming blog posts on Pictage’s blog: The Photo Life and the Photography Web Marketing Guide Blog and look forward to sharing those with you as well.

Lastly, thanks to my hubby for grabbing these candids – love you hunny.

All the best,

B + W

HUGE thank you to Wendy for coming to our Las Vegas PUG meeting last month. When I had heard about this meeting I was so excited and knew it was one not to be missed and boy was I right! I had been at WPPI all week and no one had even come close to releasing as many helpful hints as Wendy did for us that night! You made it so easy to understand and I really appreciate you taking the time out to help us improve our web presence. After the great meeting I had to book a one on one with Wendy which was SO helpful! It was so nice to know exactly what I should be doing to get myself found instead of guessing and wasting so much time for little to no results. I plan on doing another consult in the future with Wendy to see the progress I have made and to take more steps in improving my site. Thank you again Wendy, you are AMAZING!!!

Thanks for speaking at our Seattle PUG, Wendy. I took several pages of notes. Biggest thing I took home was that every landing page we have online needs to be great and have an action plan for visitors. Most visitors don’t first land on the website home page. Thanks!

Congrats to Angie!! Winner of the 1-on-1 web consult! Angie, give me a call or shoot me an email and we can setup a GoToMeeting consult. Thanks for your comment!

Thx for coming up to Seattle and sharing all this info!

What an awesome talk and such a wealth of knowledge and such. I hope you will speak at PartnerCon!!!

Hello, Wendy & Byron! Absolutely loved what you had to share at last nights Tacoma PUG meeting. Everything that I already knew was important and had let slip a little, you reconfirmed why it’d be detrimental to our businesses to not apply all the elements of web marketing. As soon as I got home, even though it was really late, I went back and change some things. Thanks for lighting that fire to get things back in order! You guys rock!

So sorry to have missed this, would love to have the opportunity of a one on one with you!!

it was awesome, very helpful and I’m already applying your concepts! Thank you so much!

Hey Wendy…thanks for coming! We had a smallish group but I’ve heard nothing but great feedback and appreciation for the knowledge you shared!

Hi Wendy! Your PUG chat was one of the best web marketing talks I’ve attended – seriously! it was comprehensive, full of great information, and at the same time you somehow also managed to keep it entertaining. Amazing… I walked away from the evening with a well-integrated understanding of the many elements involved in web marketing, and my husband walked away with a belly full of yummy beer 🙂 All in all, your talk really seems to have provided marketing inspiration for everyone who attended – thanks so much for visiting us down in San Jose!

Hi Wendy,

Enjoyed the beer and good conversation! Now trying to incorporate all the great advice and good tips. Looking forward to future talks with you.

Thank you!

Hi Wendy! I ditto everything Keri wrote – me too! I appreciated your knowledge, patience & willingness to answer all our crazy group’s questions! Hope to see you around again!

Wendy- Thank you so much for speaking at our SF PUG. It was really helpful to rethink what areas of web marketing I should be focusing on. I have embraced Facebook and started friending my clients, so I can tag them, and give them sneak peaks on FB. It has worked like a charm. We really enjoyed having you and Byron too! Cool pics!
